Our 2, 3 or 4 night residentials with a full activity program and catered from start to finish can even include pick up and drop off from your school or base – a complete package that takes care of every aspect of your residential. We tailor the program to suit either the younger year groups, year 3-6, age 7-11, or older youth and school groups, year 7+ aged 12+ teenagers.

An example timetable for a three day residential can look like this:

Day One

9:00 Collection from school at 9am with our mini-buses or coach

9:30 Arrive in Allendale around 10-10:30am, welcome & health and safety brief, snack and refreshments, room allocation

11:30 Onsite Orienteering Challenge within our 8 acre woodland

12:30 Lunch, depending on the time of year, soup & sandwiches, hot dogs, fruit are typically amongst the menu

1:15 Teambuilding and Problem Solving Tasks as well as our famous tree platform abseil on site (Round Robin in teams of 8-12)

4:30 Review of the day, preview of evening activity and the next day

5:00 Free time / diary time

6:00 Evening meal (two course, home cooked, we cater for all common
dietary requirements and a number of less well-known ones too)

Day Two

The full day on a three day residential usually includes a trip to
our climbing and watersports venue Sweethope Loughs and Great Wanneys Crags, a 40 minute drive from Allendale - we spend the entire day bouldering, climbing, abseiling, then canoeing and
finish off with a raft building race. There are picnic tables and
toilets at Sweethope, which makes for a comfortable lunchstop. At
approx. 4:30pm it is time to head back to Allendale for a shower, change and two course meal followed by another evening activity,
quite often the 2nd night lends itself to games around the bonfire and a
nightline or bushcraft session, followed by a preview of the following
day and a hot drink & biscuit.

Day Three

8:00 Breakfast, continental followed by a Full English buffet cooked by our head of catering, Nicky

9:00 Brief meeting between instructors and visiting staff to confirm plans for the day.

9:15 Normally the chosen activity is mine exploration or ghyll scrambling on the day of departure, the highlight of each trip.

12:30 After an adventurous morning, all back on site for a shower, change and lunch

1:30 Review & Debrief, highlights and "Happy Endings"

2:00 Depart for home

If you opt for a longer residential, we can include navigation skills
& fell walking, bush craft, survival skills and archery, Killhope
Lead Mining Museum and extended mining trip, mountain biking and much more.
